What creative ventures are you working on at the moment?

 

I am planning my autumn/winter collection, Pia Pauro and launching my indo-western and ethnic wear label Issa by Pia. I?m also planning a trip to Shanghai and taking our daughter to Phuket to celebrate her 5th birthday underwater!

 

 

 

 

What are your three favorite off-the-beaten-track stores in Mumbai/Delhi?

 

 In Mumbai, I love all the antique stores behind the Taj Mahal hotel, as well as Bungalow 8 and Ogaan. In New Delhi, Rockabella on Bangla Sahib Road, Varya Fine Living and the emporiums around Janpath.

 

 

What is your favorite markets to shop in Mumbai/Delhi?

 

In Mumbai, Chor Bazaar for great finds, and in New Delhi, Sunder Nagar is extremely quaint and has great restaurants. Check out Baci when you are in New Delhi next!

 

 

What is the best shopping find you've ever made while traveling?

 

The most incredible vintage dress in Paris. 

 

 

How would you describe the signature style of the modern Indian woman? 

 

The modern Indian woman is definitely tres chic, she likes aesthetically stylized yet comfortable clothing and loves a bargain no matter what she is buying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What is your favorite vacation destination? Where do you stay when there? 

 

My recent obsession is Shanghai, and I love staying at the Peninsula hotel there.  

 

 

How would you describe your personal style?

 

I am Free-spirited and driven to different aesthetics. I love finding clothing and accessories from all the corners of the world.

 

 

What are three things you have to bring every time you travel (aside from necessities like phone, wallet, passport, etc.)?

 

My bikinis, lots of accessories to wear and my orange coral lipstick by Mac.

 

 

What city has the best nightlife? What is your favorite spot to visit when there? 

 

I love southeast Asia, and live around this part of the word so I frequent it more often. In Hong Kong I love Drop and Dragon Eye, in Shanghai I go to Glamour Bar and M on the Bund is great for pre-partying.

 

 

Who is your favorite Indian designer?
