Dana Lorenz?s jewelry label, Fenton and Fallon, took the fashion world by storm almost instantaneously . Her use of eclectic materials that are woven together with a punk-chic aesthetic make it easy to see why she is considered one of the industry?s cool downtown darlings.
Lorenz has collaborated with the likes of Thakoon,Proenza Schouler and most recently Prabal Gurung.

That status was recently further cemented with a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nomination for 2011 ? one of the industry's biggest and most important honors. Today, she cites a marriage of worldwide travel and simply looking in her own NYC neighborhood as inspiration for her much loved designs.
What's the overall style of the collection?
It is always a twist and an exaggeration on the classic and traditional ideas of Jewelry- a punk princess feeling.

What encouraged you to start your own line and how did you go about doing it?
It started as a personal endeavor, making pieces for me and my friends in NYC, but a collaboration with a designer sparked a Barneys order and a Vogue article and things just fell into place.
Where did you find inspiration for your collections?
I find inspiration everywhere, mostly when I am not looking for it. To quote Alber Elbaz, "The best traveling you do is on your couch while you're eating potato chips." And I think what he meant by that is inspiration can come at anytime in any place- your mind (and the L-atitude website!) can take you anywhere.
What do you find the most inspiring destinations in the world?
I love Eastern Europe- Greece, Cyprus, Turkey- but I am most inspired right here at home on the Upper East Side in NYC.

What is your own personal style?
I have a uniform- Pencil skirts, White Shirts, trenches, black and navy cashmere knits and tons of pearls and chains mixed together.
Whats is one of the best shopping finds you've had in your travels?
A perfect Hermes Kelly Bag at a flea market in upstate New York. No one there had an idea what was sitting among the sweatshirts and tube socks!
