I entered the party with Chloe Moretz, who looked demure and understated despite being Hollywood's hottest young sweetheart. Once inside the door, it was an onslaught of glamour with Mara Rooney, Doutzen Kroes, Olivia Wilde, Liya Kebede, Amanda Seyfried, Elisa Sednaoui, Zoe Kravitz, Dree Hemingway, plus all the various Vogettes and Socials. With unseasonably warm weather, these leading ladies did not hold back. Bare shoulders, deep decolletage and miles of legs mixed with sparkle, sequins and color. I wore custom Juan Carlos Obando, one of last season's "funders", a black satin kimono style all the way to the floor and trimmed in gold, which did not disappoint.

Last Night's event crowned Joseph Altuzarra King in an all-out celebration held at New York's Splashlight Studios. Joseph was born and raised in Paris and attended college in Philadelphia, then headed to New York. After stints as Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Altuzarra returned to Paris, to Givenchy, where he worked on the ready-to-wear collections with a particular emphasis on tailoring. A favorite of mine, he hit the sweet spot with a fantastic, provocative collection based on 90's grunge for fall/winter. Runners up included jewelry rebel Pamela Love and Chicago hipsters Creatures of The Wind.
Bursting with tulips in a garden-like setting with large scale portraits of the finalists, it was a rich moment of celebration after much hard work. Competing is said to resemble navigating an obstacle course with a blindfold on. Bittersweet antidotes from keynote speaker Calvin Klein spread soothing comfort to the players, while everyone in the room shared awe and appreciation for their beautiful creations.
Afterward, we all headed off to sexy Double Seven for an intimate nightcap and our own personal celebration.
