Formerly a buyer for Bergdorf Goodman in New York, Cecilia Morelli Parikh moved to India with her husband in 2010 and soon began brainstorming ideas to innovate the Mumbai fashion scene. A year later, Le Mill was launched. A concept store located in what was previously a rice mill, the eclectically designed, inviting Le Mill carries sophisticated brands of clothing, home furnishings, and textiles that bring European aesthetics to Indian culture. With that kind of initiative, Cecilia Morelli Parikh undoubtedly has the kind of enviable dynamism that makes for a true visionary?and an ideal Globetrotter.
1. What do you like most about Mumbai and what do you miss most of NYC?
Most like: The incredible architecture of the 20s and 30s in Fort.
Miss most: walking! In Mumbai there are only a few areas where you can stroll on foot.
2. What place in the world is most unique to you and why?
I have two! Our art deco apartment on Marine Drive, Mumbai, we lovingly restored for a year and a half and didn't divorce over! We have the best view of the 'queen's necklace', the sea and the honking traffic. An oasis of calm in this crazy city. The Second would be, Namibia! As corny as it sounds, this is where we honeymooned. The variety of landscapes, nature and wildlife was the best we've seen in Africa. My favorite continent, I pine to take every holiday there.

3. Which 3 travel essentials we can always find in your suitcase?
? Anything from The Row. Especially the cropped leggings in black and my white tux jacket. Easy to pack. Basics that can be dressed up and down. A multi plug adaptor. I learnt this from my husband. I don't like to be 'prepared' for anything. He's teaching me how. A fat, old fashioned hard book. It weighs a ton but gives me lots of pleasure! A good natural remedy to beating jet-lag.

4. What is the best shopping find you've ever made while traveling and where did you find it?
My aunt from Naples has the key to all the shopping secrets of Capri. The best is a cashmere store called Farella where you can design your own knitwear and have it ready in 3 days!
5. What is your favorite market bazaar?
Istanbul! The atmosphere, junk, amazing finds and beautiful rugs and fabrics.
6. What is one destination you've never been to that you're dying to visit?
Japan. All of it.
7. What are you 3 top picks from L-ATITUDE.com?
I love the neon pink scarf from Lem Lem, The Marlene Pajama Set from Poplin and the Polki and Shell necklace from Dezso!
