September and all of its sartorial glory is quickly approaching, which means Fashion?s Night Out?the ultimate celebration of clothes, cocktails, and cool?is almost upon us. Slated for September 6-7, the event was rumored to be bagged after shaky store performance during last year?s festivities. Luckily for us, the night is still on?and perfectly on point with a dizzying array of fashion fun.
If you?re in NYC, stop by the Alice + Olivia store on Madison Avenue at 6:00 PM; the store is hosting a ?80s-themed slumber party, complete with manicures, chick flicks, and, of course, sweet treats. You can also peek the label?s latest collection for a fall-ready frock. In the mood for a celeb-studded affair? Pop into Bergdorf Goodman?s Fifth Avenue flagship at 6:00 PM for a glimpse of fashion heavyweights Rachel Zoe, Thakoon Panichgul, Lela Rose, and more; the stars will be celebrating the release of the new book Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman by Sara James Mnookin. Though celebrities may dazzle, nothing replicates the feeling of a stylish steal. At 3.1 Philip Lim?s Mercer Street outpost, a super-chic limited edition fall 2012 scarf accompanies the purchase of every bag?no strings attached!
NYC may be the hub of Fashion?s Night Out, but the event hasn?t neglected its international fashionistas. Milan-based shoppers can head to the city?s Sephora locations for a free makeup session to complement their party-ready attire. Want to explore the architectural wonders of Milan? Vogue Italia is sponsoring a cultural night walk throughout the city, with three different routes to cater to the city?s varying aesthetics. The first, titled Chiari Dark Red Light, is dedicated to the history of the brothels of post-war Milan; the second, named Art, History, and Place Names, focuses on the intricate streets that surround the city?s art gallery. The third and final route, Architecture in the Limelight, aims to uncover the old-world and modern architectural styles of the city. A portion of the proceeds from the guided tours will be donated to the earthquake victims of Emilia.
If you?re in India, head to the DLF Emporio Mall in New Delhi for an all-night shopping extravaganza complete with champagne, cupcakes, and freebies. Stop into Burberry and enter the store?s raffle; the lucky winner receives a shopping spree worth 25,000 rupees. At Fendi, partygoers will indulge in wine, cheese, and chocolate while they admire the brand?s new line of 2jours handbags. Be sure to remember that India?s FNO is scheduled for September 7, not September 6!
No matter where you find yourself on September 6 or 7, FNO events are shaping up to be an international ode to the fashion industry and all its major players. For a complete list of Fashion?s Night Out events, click here!
