1.  Firstly, what was your inspiration behind the current collection?

We have been wanting to interpret our ?not-so-serious? illustrations into a capsule silk scarf collection for a while now. We basically wanted to take that very classical item and twist it with the attitude of our characters? And from there on, went with what tones and shapes we would like to wear ourselves?

2. Who is the illustrator between the two of you? Who decides the direction of the collection?

We both are! And even though our styles are very similar, they have their own characteristics? We mostly go for the same things, but also enjoy the fact that we can push one and other towards different directions?  It is a great motivation too, to be a team!

3. Who is the Rumisu Girl?

We and anyone else, who doesn?t insist on taking life too seriously? Neither age nor shape matters to us? We simply want to flirt around design and whoever enjoys our whimsical world, is more than welcome into it!

4. Where are your secret spots in Istanbul to find one of a kind unique things?

Flea markets are Pinar?s thing! She always comes back with the best pieces and bargains. For flea markets, we recommend Ferikoy Flea Market which takes place ever Sunday as well as all the shops around Cukurcuma area. ?I (Deniz) am into Second-Hand stores clothing stores. Especially the one placed in ?Suriye Pasaji? to me has been very adventurous. And of course there is always the ?Grand Bazaar? which never fails to surprise us!
