How long have you been living in Bali? You must have seen it change dramatically over the past few years? 

I have been living in Bali for 6 years and it has changed a lot! What is good now with all the changes that you have in Bali a great combination of  exotic and tradition and yet a cosmopolitan mix with lots of creativity and great shopping

 

How has your love of travel impacted your design work?

Basically if I wasn't in Bali, I may have not started the collection.

What are some of your inspirations for your collection?

Always the traditional craft and natural materials, combined in different ways.

Since you live in Paradise where do you go to vacation?

I love Bali. However when I need a break I frequently visit Europe. I tend to visit Spain, Italy. London and New York are some of my favorite destinations to visit.

Can you give us a sense of what a day in your life is like?

It is wonderful to wake up in a tropical garden!  I try to have a relaxed start, and then you never know how the day will unfold! Since we work with international clients, we have demanding schedules. However at the end of the workday I enjoy my walks by the beach and enjoy dinners outside.

What are the must go ?to local spots you would suggest every globetrotter visit in Bali?

I think restaurant wise, there is a very nice offering now. I love Mamasan and Merah Putin, Indonesian fusion design. I still love Ubud and have a relaxing days in Pemuteran which is in the north west part of Bali.

What are the three items you are most coveting from L-atitude?

I love the Adele Dejak bags collection, Namu stingray bags collection and of course my Sonket bags collection too ;-)
