Greece: Mykonos
European locals flock to Mykonos to partake in the partying and pampering that has become synonymous with the Greek island. We suggest striking a balance between dancing and decompressing. After a long night of dancing and bar hopping at the island?s renowned clubs along Paradise Beach, head to Agrari beach for a relaxing day soaking up the sun and swimming in the deep blue Aegean Sea.
Spain: Dei?, Majorca
Spain?s beloved island, Majorca, features one of Europe?s most bohemian beach towns: Dei?. This spot has long been a source of inspiration for writers, artists, and musicians. Today, it is home to the boho fashion folk who flock here for unspoiled beaches, natural beauty, scenic vistas, and chic stone dwellings. For the uninhibited, there is the Llucalcari nudist beach, where the local tradition is to cover yourself in mineral rich mud on the shore and then rinse in the crystal clear water stream.
Italy: Aeolian Islands
Situated off Sicily, the Aeolian Islands attract a sophisticated fashion crowd from Milan. Many of your favorite fashion designers have homes here surrounded by the unspoiled beauty. The best place to escape the hustle and bustle is Ginostra, an island that can only be reached by boat. If socializing and shopping are what you are after, head to Pollara beach where you can indulge in the sophisticated boutiques just steps from the white sand. If you are still craving more of a scene, head to Panarea beach, home to one of Italy?s most popular nightclub: The Hotel Raya.
Hotel Raya: Via S. Pietro, 98050 Panarea Messina, Italy, +39 090 983013
Portugal: Comporta
There are few beach spots that still feel untouched by commercial civilization, our favorite is the beach town of Comporta in Portugal. Here, you can catch some rays while lounging on the various beanbags lined along the pristine sand. We suggest staying in one of the fishermen?s cottages overlooking the 13-mile beach. This spot has long been favored by European royals looking for a place to get away from it all.
