I love Beautiful Dreamers in Brooklyn, it has the most unusual and eclectic selection of designers that you don't see elsewhere. Also, Ellen on Ludlow Street is great. Ellen's sharp eye for finding the best vintage is unmatched! I always go to No 6 Store for their amazing clogs.

I love Cafe Gitane and Il Buco because they are old stomping grounds from my college days and have consistently delivered fresh fare. Another one of my favorites is Momofuko - do I even have to explain?

I always go to Magnolia Bakery for the best cupcakes in town. I like Gramercy Hotel for an evening drink because it's one of the few spots where you can slouch into comfortable seating and actually hear the person you're with from across the table. I also love The Wythe Hotel rooftop bar because of the expansive views of the city on a breezy spring evening.
