How did you start your brand?

My business partner Ana and myself started JOSA Tulum for years ago. We started small going to local fabric stores, sourcing prints that we liked and transforming our favorite vintage caftans into sexy modern pieces. I took our first collection to New York and secured our first orders and we were off and running.

What are some of your endless inspirations?

All the women who come to Tulum are my inspiration. At night I go to a restaurant and I can sit for hours and watch the most chic, beautiful women and observe what they are wearing and get inspired by them. Tulum attracts the most beautiful women in the world.

Can you speak specifically about your new collection and your inspirations?

With this collection I?m evolving the caftan into more of a chic dress that can be still be worn like a caftan. I?m inspired right now by the Spanish Gypsies, more feminine, freer and more sexy.
