Globetrotter: Maryam Montague

Maryam Montague is the founder of #tribalchic lifestyle brand M.Montague. We have long admired her keen eye for tribal home decor and sourcing of artisan made goods and were even more impressed when we learned of her background as a humanitarian aid specialist— a job that has taken her to the remote reaches of 40 countries and countless artisan workshops.

Raised in Cairo, Tunis, NYC and Boston, Maryam now lives in the outskirts of Marrakech with her architect husband Chris Redecke, her kids and an assorted menagerie that includes two peacocks. We are equally obsessed with Maryam’s boutique hotel, Peacock Pavilion which was built and designed by this worldly duo and has become a luxury guesthouse for in-the-know travelers. With her growing collection of one-of-a-kind finds from her travels, Maryam launched the Red Thread Souk on her property and online at Shop Latitude. We are thrilled to be able to bring you tribal chic products designed and curated by Maryam as well as a drool-worthy look into her #tribalchic lifestyle.
