Las Dalias Hippie Market, Ibiza

There is no way you can visit Ibiza without visiting hippie market Las Dalias. Las Dalias is one of the bigger and more famous hippie markets of Ibiza. Mercadillo las Dalias started in the early 80-ties with just 5 stands and a few visitors. Almost 30 years later and about 20,000 visitors a day in summer time this market has become a well known tourist attraction on the island of Ibiza. With about 200 stands with the best Ibiza has to offer, it’s a true pleasure to stroll around here. Make sure you wear your shopping shoes and some sunscreen, cause you can easily spend hours here. My favorite visits are: FlordeVida for the best tunics, VintageSunglasses for an amazing selection of true vintage sun glasses, Sabah Ibiza for kelim boots, EmonkIbiza for must have sandals and PuchiTibet for the most beautiful Tibetan jewelry. In the middle of the market there are several small restaurants and bars were you can sit down and watch all the people walk by. Don’t forget to buy a delicious smoothy at Barra de Zumos. The market itself is for free but you do need to pay a few euros to park your car. In summer time the market can get a bit hectic, so to avoid the crowds go super early of go to the night market on Monday evening. You can find Las Dalias on the road to San Carles from Es Canar. If you have no time to visit the island you can also visit Las Dalias on the Road in Amsterdam! This year from 5 till 7 May in the Westergasfabriek. For more info click here.
