Her incredible skill at her craft has long defined her as one of the most sought after make-up artists in New York. However, in 2009, Rodulfo took a different turn and launched the Alexa Rodulfo Candle Collection. With proceeds benefiting children through the Ricky Martin Foundation, Rodulfo has made her new venture the perfect combination of style, luxury, and philanthropy.

          What is the most stylish destination you?ve been to?

I have been fortunate to have traveled all over the world. Recently I visited Antwerp and fell in love with the casual chicness of the city. Anterwp has a unique personal style and the understated coolness is very captivating- Think Dries, Margiela, Ann?Very chic! I visited a vintage shop named T2 Vintage off The Meir- Antwerp?s main shopping street. For delicious coffee- I recommend visiting Caffenation. One of my other favorite places was RA Antwerp. Since it?s opening in 2009- RA Antwerp is known for its  ongoing support for directional fashion and emerging artistic talent in Antwerp, Belgium. The space is in the heart of the city and it comprises of four key components- - a fashion retail concept, a bustling caf? restaurant, an art gallery space and curated bookstore.

          What do you tend to shop for when traveling?

It all depends on the destination. I am mainly drawn to things that inspire me and I connect with. I have carpets from Morocco and India; ceramics from Turkey, Vintage from Belgium, and of course candles, essential oils and cosmetics from all over the world from local and organic brands that I buy from markets and bazaars.

       What do you think makes for the perfect trip?

A perfect trip for me is when I have a balance between discovering new and exciting places and having the opportunity to visit the ones that I?m fond with. I think accomplishing what I was set up to do is the ideal trip. However I love to come back home feeling inspired- my mind filled with energy and ideas.

What are your go-to boutiques in NY?

I adore Barneys, Aloha Rag, and Bird in Brooklyn- which is filled with the best fashions collections and design objects from Osaka to Venice!

I love Dutzi designs, Xanath Lammoglia, Dalia Pascal, Alejandra Quesada to name a few.

Where are you traveling next?

I am very excited to be invited by Elle Magazine, Turkey to visit Istanbul! I cannot wait to share all my travel stories with L-atitude once I am back!
