Russian-born Natalya Rovner hasn?t always had a closet stocked with the latest exotic finds; she grew up in Moscow under the Communist regime and only owned one pair of jeans until she turned 17. As the co-owner of New York-based fashion company LuxCartel, she aims to introduce American designers to foreign markets and vice versa. Natalya is constantly striving to redefine style, skewing the definition more towards one-of-a-kind pieces rather than mass-market labels.

How did you discover it? My Italian friends told me about it.
Why do you think it is cool? It has amazing cashmere and really cool designs.
What makes it unique? The designs that they carry are truly one of a kind, and the quality is exceptional. I haven?t found anything else quite like it.
What does it carry/what do you buy there? Cashmere goods.

How did you discover it? While vacationing there.
Why do you think it is cool? It has so many different things which are all handmade and have an artinsal quality to them. The vibe out there is fantastic.
What makes it unique? It's one of those places that you need to visit to properly understand why it's so special!
What does it carry/what do you buy there? Handmade ashtrays, woven dresses, leather notebooks, and everything in between.

 

Colette Rue St. Honore Paris

How did you discover it? When I lived in Paris walked by it once..this was about ten years ago.
Why do you think it is cool? It?s the coolest store on Earth, and that title is undisputed.
What makes it unique? It?s the original and the best ever concept store.
What does it carry/what do you buy there? High-end designer clothes and jewelry, art, books, CDs, and random objects?

How did you discover it? It?s the coolest store in my hometown.
Why do you think it is cool? The buyers of that place have immaculate taste. I usually like everything there.
What makes it unique? The store is a great synergy of Good Russian taste.
What does it carry/what do you buy there? Clothes and shoes.
