Best Place to Stay? The House Hotel. With 3 properties, self service apartments and a cafe- The House Hotel group promises luxury, comfort and a sanctuary to rest your tired feet after stomping around town discovering the best shopping, restaurants and culture. Check out their e-store on L-atitude!

Best Breakfast Joint? Mangerie in Bebek is super cute. Situated on the 3rd floor and overlooking the busy Bebek street and Bosphorus this is a hidden gem. Try the quinoa salad- it's divine!

Fave Stores? Midnight Express, Gunes Mutlu's atelier; Mehry Mu and Hersey Asktan. The Midnight Express concept store is a great go-to to get the best of both local and international talent. Gunes Mutlu's brand Mehry Mu is one of my personal favourites. She uses traditional Ikat fabrics and symbols and her suede and leather bags are perfect for everyday wear. If you are scouring the bazaars for Turkish Delight check our Hersay Asktan who had the yummiest turkish delights (try the almond- it was simply gorgeous) and she has everything from jewelry to home accessories.

Fave Neighborhood? Young and vibrant, Bebek and Nisantasi is great for people - watching! Plus there are a number of boutiques and restaurants. Check out turkish brand Yargici for fab linen clothes. I also loved Ulus- although residential it had spectacular views of the Bosphorus and a really easy vibe.

Restaurant Recs? Ulus 29 for the view and the yummy flatbreads, Lucca and Brasserie Nisantasi for people watching.

Fave Traditional Spots? Its overwhelmingly beautiful to walk around the Old City and see all the mosques but the Hagia Sofia held a special place in my heart. It really took my breath away.
