Your 100% Natural & Non-Toxic products are coveted by women around the world- what made you get into skin care?

I have always been a lover of the finest and most effective beauty products, and grew up in Colombia with beauty and health as a priority and a way of life. It was when my stepfather was diagnosed with cancer that I started to learn about environmental toxins and the chemicals we are exposed to in products we use every day. I started looking for a really results-oriented, world-class antiaging line that didn't use a single chemical ingredient - and I couldn't find any. All lines were blends of botanicals and synthetics, but I wanted the real thing: 100% natural and truly effective - so I decided to make it myself. With the help of 8 hired chemists and over the course of five years, the line was developed!

You were raised in Barranquilla and now reside between Vermont and Manhattan- How would you describe your own style?

My style is a blend of fun and practical... living in Vermont means I mostly wear Hunter farm boots and practical things, while in New York I get to dress up a little bit more. But I always try to be comfortable.

Do you have any Latin influence in the way you dress?

I was born in a beach town in Colombia that is warm and humid year-round, so clothes were kept to a minimum, I love that comfortable style but it only works when you're in a hot environment, so of course my style has evolved as I've moved from Miami to New York and Vermont. Now I dress for what makes sense in Vermont. But I still love wearing colors and patterns, which I think is some Latin influence.

Please name the three staples of your wardrobe you could never live without?

Leggings, Toms shoes, denim button-down shirt.

What are some of your favorite destinations and why?

I love going places that are warm and relaxed, like beaches or the jungle, or a mountain where I can ski or hike - really anywhere outdoors in nature.

What is the favorite item you have purchased or been given while on a trip?

My Panama hat that I wear everywhere, an original from Panama City.

What is your favorite beauty item you have purchased or been given while on a trip?

Sacred blush from RMS - I love the color.

Are there any global beauty tips you have discovered during your travels that you have incorporated in your own daily regime?

I have always been fascinated by the different ways that women take care of their health and beauty around the world, and have discovered things like new juice recipes in new places that I use at home, but my beauty regimen has stayed pretty much the same throughout my travels. It's all about what's practical, easy, totally natural and yet really effective.

How would you describe your travel style?

I travel so much that I've learned to be a really efficient packer, I bring just what I need.. but I always travel with a big bag, so I have enough space for lots of gifts for my kids. My style is practical and comfortable.

What are the three things you never leave home without?

My Stress Aromatherapy treatment for hectic days, Be Adored lip treatment, and a good Pashmina scarf.

What three things from L-atitude are you coveting most for summer?

I love the global influence and bohemian style of the things on L-atitude, especially the bags!
