With Thanksgiving only two weeks away, it seems like the perfect moment to share some of my favorite entertaining tips. Follow these simple suggestions and you will turn your all American holiday into an exotic adventure around the globe!

1. Entertaining should be fun, so try teasing your guests with an exotic recipe! This Snake a la Cleopatra recipe came to me courtesy of my Fornasetti dinnerware. Any protein can be substituted for the snake, while the actual recipe makes for a funny invite or menu card.

2. Add something exotic to your table setting; try our Indian camel tassels as napkin rings.

3. Don?t forget to add surprises all throughout your home. Toss ikat pillows from Istanbul around your house or try a bold colored Suzani as a tablecloth or bed cover.

4. Add worldly charm with ingredients from around the globe. Regardless of whether it?s salt from Ibiza or Apple Tea from the Grand Bazaar, treat your guests to a taste of local flavor.

5. Everyone loves a party favor! Surprise your guests with a takeaway to remember. We suggest filling your favorite basket with an array of bangles or olive oil soaps and leaving it by the door.
