Spending your days hanging out in Indio Valley at the Coachella music festival is great, but after the sun sets and the music ends- don?t you want to just come home to a hot shower, good food and pleasing esthetics a short drive away. Below is a list of our favorite places to chill out in the Palm Springs area- these spots are good at any time of year, so no need to wait for a festival to check them out.
Colony Palms Hotel
572 N. Indian Canyon Drive, 760- 969-1800
We love everything about this 56 room boutique hotel from the Suzani?s in the rooms to the faint Moroccan vibe by the pool. Another plus - this hotel is a block away from the best shopping, galleries and restaurants on Palm Canyon Drive.
The Palm Springs Hotel
2135 N. Palm Canyon Drive, 760-459-1255
This maybe the oldest hotel in town but it was recently re -done with the most modern of amenities, we are talking about Apple TV in every room and clothes by ModShop on the room service menu.
Parker Palm Springs
4200 East Palm Canyon Drive,760-770-5000
This Jonathan Adler designed luxe property has four pools, a killer spa, yacht club and golf course, although our favorite thing about this hotel was our room?s mod meets boho decor, we especially loved the Moroccan wedding blanket draped across the bed.
Viceroy Palm Springs
415 S Belardo Road, 760- 320-4117
We love everything about this Kelly Wearstler designed hotel, from it?s grown up Hollywood vibe to it?s impeccable service. Be advised after April 15th the hotel management and name are changing- this property will become the Avalon Hotel Palm Springs.
