Globetrotter | Carolina Kleinman of Carolina K

October 19, 2014

Our fascination with Latin artisans spreads from Mexico to Latin American and all the way down through South America. The variety of embroidery and weaving traditions is endless, yet somehow connected through all of these different countries and cultures. Carolina Kleinman, the designer behind Carolina K has become the physical embodiment of this cross-cultural exchange. Born in Argentina, Carolina now works with artisan communities in Peru and Mexico to create her intricately crafted and vintage inspired collections. Working closely with artisans in these countries she also ensures fair trade practices are always enforced. We recently caught up with Carolina, to hear about her latest travel ventures, read below.

When we need to satisfy our own wanderlust we log on to her worldy instagram account (see for yourself here!) and pretend we are traveling along with her. We recently caught up with Lau and ask her to share her favorite spots in her hometown. Get ready for a big envy attack when she mentions retreating to her private island in Thailand. Dear Michelle, please can we come along!
